Soccer for all

Seattle has a robust and talented soccer community that sometimes makes it hard for beginners and recreational players to find a place to play. That’s why we’re here.

This is the league where you score a goal and your opponents give you a high five — especially if it’s the first one you’ve ever scored. This is the league where when teammates yell at you, it’s to say “nice pass!” This is the league for people tired of hyper-competitiveness and physical play.

ECS Pub League is a radically inclusive, beginner-friendly recreational league. If you just want to have fun with friends while learning — or getting back into — the beautiful game, you’ve come to the right place.

  • Radically inclusive

All skill levels, all backgrounds, all bodies. We mean it.

  • Real community

A Discord full of teammates who become friends off the pitch too.

  • Beginner-friendly

Never played? Perfect. Coaches and teammates have your back.

Two divisions,
one community

Start where you’re comfortable. Players move between them season to season, and plenty do.

ECS Pub League Classic division team

Classic

For players with little or no experience. Fun and skill development over competition, equal playing time, and every team makes the playoffs. New players start here.

ECS Pub League Premier division team

Premier

A slightly higher level of friendly competition: still low contact and laid-back, with the same emphasis on development, team play and fun. Everyone plays.

New players are always welcome. This is the whole path in.

  1. Come to a PLOP

A Pub League Offseason Practice: a drop-in kickabout. Meet people, get a feel for the game, and commit to nothing.

  2. Get approved

New players are approved before they register, so every team stays balanced and every division stays welcoming.

  3. Register, or join the waitlist

When registration is open, sign up. When a season is full, the waitlist is the way in — and it moves.

Just for fun.
Genuinely.

Both divisions play 8v8 on a half-field with unlimited subs. If you've played in the other Seattle leagues (RATS, GSSL, Arena Sports) or have college or club experience, this probably isn't the league for you — our level is well below even their lowest divisions, and that's the point.

ECS Pub League is part of ECS FC, the nonprofit soccer club established by Emerald City Supporters.
