1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ECS FC mobile application (iOS and Android) and web platform at portal.ecsfc.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ECS FC ("we," "our," or "us"). We may modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
2. Description of Service
ECS FC provides a platform for soccer league management, including but not limited to:
- Team and player roster management
- Match scheduling and RSVP tracking
- Real-time match scoring and live reporting
- Player statistics and league standings
- Push notifications and team communications
- Digital wallet passes for team identification
- Integration with Discord for team coordination
The Service is provided for the management and coordination of ECS FC soccer leagues and teams.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age in the European Union)
- Have a valid Discord account for authentication
- Be a current or prospective member of an ECS FC team or league
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account using Discord OAuth authentication. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Discord account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4.2 Account Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
4.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
- Submit false or misleading information (including fake RSVPs)
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited communications
6. User Content
6.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (including profile pictures, photos, and messages). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.
6.2 Content Standards
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Content must not:
- Be illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Contain viruses or malicious code
- Violate the privacy of others
6.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by ECS FC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 "As Is" Service
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8.2 No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
8.3 Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party services (Discord, Firebase, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such third-party services.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECS FC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or personal information
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
- Any errors or omissions in any content
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ECS FC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another
- Your user content
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and all associated data
- Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
- For significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification
- Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
